Deep in the 100 Acre Wood. . .

There are certain stories and characters that last for generations. Have you ever read the original book called Winnie-The-Pooh by A. A. Milne? In 1926, Milne introduces us to a delightful teddy bear, owned by his son Christopher Robin Milne, and several other of Christopher's toys. You meet Winnie The Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Owl and Rabbit. Tigger is introduced in the second volume of stories called The House At Pooh Corner in 1928. It's just delightful reading the adventures of these friends in the Hundred Acre Wood. Today you can watch many TV shows and movies featuring these characters, as well as meet them at Disney parks. In honor of Pooh Bear and all his friends, Kellybell Designs is adding to a classic collection. Join us as we Remember The Magic of.....

Inspired by Pooh Bear, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore, Kelly has a coordinating color palette with matching papers and elements to scrap your adventures in the Hundred Acre Woods. This kit is filled with over 70 elements including bees, honey jar, bee hive, tree limbs, clouds, Eeyore's tail, tree, flairs, journal tags, ribbons, hearts, buttons and flowers. Plus you'll find 4 alphas included in the kit. Yes, you read that right -- there are 4 alphas!! Each character needs their own alpha!!

Check out this word art pack filled with 8 titles. Both the '100 Acre Friends' Kit and Word Art will be on sale this weekend for 50% off.

Part 3, Brown Eyed Girl

Here is the third part of the Scrap Matters Collab Trio, Brown Eyed Girl.  I love all the great backgrounds and cute elements this kit has.  Such a fun kit and look to balance the sophistication of Unforgettable.

Here is my page with Unforgettable.  I saw the collection used for other National Park photos and I loved the colors.

A Lovely Trio, pt. 2

It took me long enough!  Here is the page I scrapped with Vintage Surf Shop. So perfect for my Hawaii photos and I know I'll be using it some more.

Next is Unforgettable, a fantastic kit for heritage pages.  Of course, all three of the collabs coordinate, so don't be afraid to mix and match!

Check back in a few more days for the final installment of this collaboration trio.

A Lovely Trio, pt. 1

The Scrap Matters team has released not one, but THREE gorgeous collab kits this month in a beautiful, end of summer/start of fall color palette.  I will be showing these off one at a time this week.  My first choice is Vintage Surf Shop
I love the color scheme here and can't wait to dig out those photos from our Hawaii trip several years ago--another album that I still haven't finished.  I'm going to change that though.  I'll be having a lot of free time coming up soon and my goal is to get at least five books finished and scrapped before June: Hawaii, Hong Kong, our road trip from last summer, a Disney album, and some general family, year in review type book.  I think I can do this.

Check back for part two and some scrapped pages in the next day or so!

Save the Date and a Little Pixie Dust

Let's face it, finding a new way to add a date to your layout can be a struggle. Many times we don't date our layouts because we either forget or just can't find a cool date element that blends into the page. Kelly knows how critical it is to document your stories and has come up with several new ways to add a date to your layout. Today she's releasing 2 new date packs to add to her existing collection of unique and innovative date stamps.

SIMPLE DATES VOLUME 7 & 8

Simple Dates Volume 7 features the cutest Mickey ears clip that you can snap on to a ribbon or paper. Simple Dates Volume 8 is a sweet paper clip that can be recolored to match your layout theme. The dates are very versatile with all the days, months, and years for mixing and matching. And you can grab these 2 kits for 25% off this weekend only!!

Right now in Kellybell's Store, there are 8 different date kits available. With all this variety to choose from, you'll have so many new ways to date your pages!!

No Disney layout would be complete without sprinkling a little pixie dust on your page!! Today, Kelly has a new set of pixie dust trails for you. She's mixed in some gold and sparkly colors to really make them shine.

PIXIE DUST VOLUME 3

Need some variety in your pixie dust?? Kelly has 4 different pixie dust trails for you to choose from. Grab them all in Kellybell's Store. And remember, new releases are 25% for this weekend only!

Wow!! So many choices!! For some inspiration on how to use these dates and pixie dust, here's what I scrapped today.

This page was done for the Scrap Matters newsletter/magazine challenge.

September Mix-It Kit

This is such a great concept.  I love the Mix-it kits at Scrap Matters.  Each month there's a different color palette and the designers go on to make their own, separated kit that can be mixed and matched with each other.  The color palette this month is fantastic!  Very bold, and very happy.  Tanya, Crossbone Cuts Designs, really out-did herself on this one.  I LOVE the theme of her kit, Sketch Me, following inspiration from the Animation Academy at Disneyland.  With my own two little artists, I know I'll be using this one a lot.

Here are the pages I scrapped with the kit:
